SUBJECT: Recommended Classification and Pay Changes

The purpose of this memo is to recommend reclassifying the Director of Finance position from grade 49 to grade 50, and to rename the position to Director of Business Management.
As part of the reorganization of the Town of Chapel Hill, this position will not only be responsible for the financial planning and budget administration but will also acquire oversight of the Information Technology department for the Town as a whole.
Recommend reclassification of the Director of Finance from grade 49 to grade 50 in the Town ordinance, and change the title of the position to Director of Business Management [by enacting the attached ordinance].
