A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ORANGE COUNTY TEN-YEAR PLAN TO END CHRONIC HOMELESSNESS (2008-01-28/R-5)

WHEREAS, on March 14, 2007 the Steering Committee of the Partnership to End Homelessness in Orange County approved a Ten-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness; and

WHEREAS, on May 7, 2007 the Chapel Hill Town Council endorsed the Ten-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness in Orange County; and

WHEREAS, the Ten-Year Plan includes hiring a Project Coordinator for this project;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Town Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between Orange County and the Towns of Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Hillsborough and the Executive Team for the Partnership to End Homelessness.
