Tonight, the Council holds a public hearing regarding a request from Oldham Associates for the South Grove Special Use Permit application. Tonight’s public hearing has been scheduled to receive evidence in support of and in opposition to approval of the application. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward my preliminary recommendation to the Council.
I have reviewed and discussed the key issues with Town staff. Based on the information in the record to date, we believe that with the conditions in the attached resolution and the modifications to the regulations requested by the applicant, the Council could make findings required to approve an application for a Special Use Permit. My preliminary recommendation is that the Council adopt Resolution A, approving an application for the Special Use Permit, if the accompanying Land Use Text Amendment -Floor Area- Planned Developments-Housing is enacted.
