This attached budget ordinance would revise the FY2007-08 budget to account for additional traffic signal related revenues and expenditures in the Engineering Department.
The Town recently purchased two additional traffic signal cabinets for signalized intersections on State roads in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) agreed to increase the revenue for traffic signals by $11,686. The revenue is provided as part of the municipal agreement between the Town and NCDOT for traffic signal maintenance.
The attached budget amendment would increase the Engineering Department M&R-Traffic Equipment account by $11,686 to cover the cost of two signal cabinets and would increase revenue by the same amount.
RECOMMENDATION
We recommend that the Council enact the attached budget ordinance.
