ORDINANCE

(Rezoning to R-3-C zoning)

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CHAPEL HILL ZONING ATLAS FOR THE ORANGE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (Orange County Parcel Identifier Number 9880-20-9389) (2008-03-17/O-5)

 

WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill has considered the application of the Orange United Methodist Church, to amend the Zoning Atlas to rezone property described below from Residential-2 (R-2) Residential-3-Conditional (R-3-C), and finds that the amendment is warranted, in order to achieve the purposes of the Comprehensive Plan, specifically the goals of future land use extending the existing land use, and that of maintaining Chapel Hill’s established community character.   

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Chapel Hill Zoning Atlas be amended as follows:

 

SECTION I

 

That the site, identified as now or formerly Orange County Parcel Identifier Number 9880-20-9389 that is currently zoned Residential-2 (R-2) located at 1220 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard shall be rezoned to Residential-3-Conditional. The description of the entire property is as indicated on the attached map

 

SECTION II

 

That all ordinances and portions of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
