A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH A MAINTENANCE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR THE CULBRETH PARK HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM (2008-05-19/R-5)

WHEREAS, the Council wishes to assist Culbreth Park Program homeowners with maintenance expenses for their homes;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill establishes a maintenance assistance program for the eight remaining Culbreth Park program homeowners;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Town staff to submit an application for Orange County Affordable Housing Bond funds to assist three income-eligible Culbreth Park homeowners; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes an exception to the guidelines of the Affordable Housing Fund to assist the remaining households with incomes that exceed 80% of the area median income.
