Enactment of the attached ordinance would increase fee revenues in the Engineering Department budget for FY 2007-08 by $67,065 to reflect estimated revenues and costs, respectively, for traffic impact studies completed by the Town’s traffic consultants for development applications.
We recommend enactment of the ordinance.
In 2001, the Council directed that traffic impact analyses that are required as part of development applications be prepared by consultants working for the Town, rather than by the developer. Developers are charged a fee to cover the costs of the required analyses. The fees charged cover the expenditures to the consultants for the actual traffic impact studies.
