A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CONCEPT PLAN FOR THE DRY CREEK GREENWAY TRAIL (2008-06-09/R-18)

WHEREAS, the Council has accepted and referred the Concept Plan for the Dry Creek Greenway Trail; and

WHEREAS, the Council held a public hearing on May 5, 2008 and received comments, questions, and suggestions from the public; and

WHEREAS, the Council continued the Public Hearing on June 9, 2008; and

WHEREAS, the Concept Plan for the Dry Creek Greenway Trail would provide the Manager the guidance needed to developed construction level plans for the Dry Creek Trail,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council adopts the Concept Plan for the Dry Creek Greenway Trail.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Manager to begin detailed design for Phase I of the project at such time as funding is available from sale of 2003 Park bonds.
