SUBJECT:       Resolution Amending the Council Calendar

DATE:             June 25, 2008

The purpose of this memorandum is to recommend that the Council amend its meeting calendar. Adoption of the attached resolution would do so.

The Foundation for a Sustainable Community in partnership with the Community Leadership Collaboration and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce are planning the bi-annual intercity Visit and Leadership Conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan, September 14 through 16. It is anticipated that Town Council members and Town staff will participate in this conference as they have in the past. The Council has a public hearing scheduled on Monday, September 15, thus creating a conflict. We recommend the Council reschedule the public hearing to Wednesday, September 17.

Adoption of the attached resolution would amend the Council’s calendar to reflect this change.
