A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM-DIRECT ATTRIBUTABLE OPERATING GRANT (2008-06-25/R-16)

WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Transit will submit an application to the Federal Transit Administration; and

WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Transit has been allocated funds in the amount of $200,000 to fund various transit management activities;

WHEREAS, the provision of local matching funds of $50,000 will consist of a combination of funds from the Transit Capital Reserve and salaries in the operating fund.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council accepts the grant in the amount of $200,000.
