RESOLUTION B

A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE INCORPORATION INTO THE TOWN CHARTER OF LOCAL ACTS ENACTED IN 2008 GRANTING THE TOWN ADDITIONAL AUTHORITY (2008-09-08/R-3b)

WHEREAS, Section 1.4 of the Charter of the Town of Chapel Hill provides for the Council to incorporate into the Town Charter local laws enacted by the North Carolina General Assembly relating to the property affairs and government of the Town upon recommendation of the Town Attorney; and,

WHEREAS, the Council has received a report recommending the inclusion of local legislation enacted by the 2008 Session of the General Assembly in the Town Charter;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that Session Law 2007-66, as amended by Session Law 2008-75, is hereby incorporated in the Town Charter as Section 5.11.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Session Law 2008-76, amending Section 5.42, is hereby incorporated in the Town Charter as the rewritten Section 5.43 of said Charter.
