Title of Agenda Item: Request from the Chapel Hill – Carrboro School system regarding request to determine the Town’s willingness to assist with the construction of a full sized Gymnasium
Background: The attached staff memorandum includes background information on the Chapel Hill – Carrboro School System inquiry concerning the Town’s possible participation in the construction of a full sized gymnasium at Elementary School #11.
Staff Recommendation(s): The Town owns and operates a full sized gymnasium as part of the Hargraves Recreation Center within the immediate area where Elementary School #11 is to be constructed. Because of this, The Town of Chapel Hill does not feel the need to duplicate these services at the proposed school.
