Subject:                       UNC Innovation Center, Special Use Permit Application

Meeting Date:             June 18, 2008

Recommendations:     That the Council adopt Resolution A included as Attachment 3 to the June 18,                                              2008 Staff Report, with revision to the following stipulation:

Construction Completion Date: That construction begin by ______ (two years from approval date) and be completed by _____ (four ten years from approval date.

The following new stipulations be added:

Bicycle Parking Spaces: That the final plans include Class I and Class II bicycle parking spaces.

Handicapped Parking Spaces: That the final plans include handicapped parking spaces.

Hazardous Material Notification: That for any leases or sub-leases, lessors must notify the Fire Department of any hazardous material proposed to be present on site.

Ayes:   Mark Broadwell, George Cianciolo, Chris Culbreth, Kathryn James, Laura King Moore, Glenn Parks, and Jonathan Whitney

Nays: None

Discussion:                  All Commissioners supported the use of a stone wall and alternative buffer along Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and wanted to review the final Streetscape and Alternative Buffer during Final Plan review.
