Tonight the Town Council holds public hearings to consider a request from the St. Thomas More Catholic Community for the St. Thomas More Catholic Church and School Master Land Use Plan Modification and Special Use Permit Modification applications. Tonight’s public hearings have been scheduled to receive evidence in support of and in opposition to approval of the applications. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward my preliminary recommendation to the Council.
I have reviewed and discussed the key issues with Town staff. Based on the information in the record to date, we believe that with the conditions in the attached resolutions, the Council could make findings required to approve the applications for Master Land Use Plan Modification and Special Use Permit Modification. My preliminary recommendation is that the Council 1) adopt Resolution A, approving the application for Master Land Use Plan Modification and 2) adopt Resolution A, approving the application for Special Use Permit Modification.
