A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE ORANGE COUNTY GRANT AND THE TOWN OF CARRBORO GRANT (2008-09-22/R-7)

WHEREAS, Orange County has appropriated $64,424 in funds and Town of Carrboro $1,000 in funds, together with Town of Chapel Hill funds ($36,233) and $29,505 client fees provides the total of $131,162 to enhance the quality of law enforcement services provided to the Town of Chapel Hill through early intervention in the cycle of crime and drugs to minimize recidivism for adult substance abuse offenders;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Manager to accept the aforementioned grants and to make all necessary assurances.
