RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE ORANGE COUNTY ABC BOARD FY2007-2008 AND FY2008-2009 FUNDS (2008-09-22/R-8)

WHEREAS, the Orange County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board has made funds available to enhance the quality of ABC law enforcement services provided to local communities; and

WHEREAS, the Orange County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board has granted funds in total for the amount of $38,686; and

WHEREAS, the funds would be used to improve the police department’s ability to address alcohol law enforcement issues;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Manager to accept the Orange County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board FY2007-2008 and FY2008-2009 funds and to make all necessary assurances.
