SUMMARY OF BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN ADVISORY BOARD ACTION

Subject:                      Sidewalk Construction Program

Meeting Date:            September 23, 2008

Recommendation:     The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board voted 8-0 to recommend that the Town Council considers constructing sidewalks on state maintained roads ranked 1-3 on the sidewalk construction master list.  In addition, funds should be used for sidewalk projects on town maintained roads and as local match for Transportation Improvement Program projects.

Discussion:                

• The Board requested to revisit the list of sidewalk projects to be constructed with the next funding allocation.
• The Board requested staff recalculate the scoring/ranking of projects on the sidewalk construction master list.
• The Board requested staff to include the date in which projects were added to the sidewalk construction master list.
