Title of Agenda Item: Resolution Budget Amendment Ordinance to Accept Active Living by Design Sustainability Grant and to Amend the 2008/08 Budget
Background: The attached staff memorandum includes background information on the Robert Wood Johnson Active Living by Design Grant project and how it relates to the extension Sustainability Grant. The supplemental grant will continue two elements of the work done in Chapel Hill regarding the original grant. The work includes Complete Streets program as well as continuation of the Go Chapel Hill Active Business program which promotes decreasing single occupancy vehicles while encouraging active lifestyle.
Staff Recommendation(s): That the Council adopts the attached Resolution to Accept the Active Living by Design Sustainability Grant of $45,000 and to amend the project budget to increase the ALbD grant by $45,000.
