Title of Agenda Item: Land Exchange and Right-of-way Improvements
Background: The attached staff memorandum includes background information on a petitioner’s proposal to exchange 1.1 acres of property in exchange for .003 acres that would enable a residential dwelling located at Chapel Hill Tax Map 7.94.B.27 to meet the Town’s interior building setback requirement. The petitioner is also requesting an encroachment agreement to build a privately maintained driveway within the Jay Street right-of-way to provide access to this property.
Staff Recommendation(s): That the Council adopt the attached resolution to authorize the Town Manager to proceed with the proposed property exchange and right-of-way encroachment agreement.
