A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF THE PEOPLES CHANNEL PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT (2008-10-15/R-13)

WHEREAS, The Peoples Channel, Inc., is a non-profit corporation organized by area citizens to provide public access television in Chapel Hill; and

WHEREAS, The Peoples Channel’s existing performance agreement is up for possible renewal; and

WHEREAS, The Peoples Channel continues to satisfy its commitment to Chapel Hill residents by providing a meaningful communication tool for community groups, non-profits and individuals overlooked by traditional broadcast media; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Town Manager to execute an agreement renewing the performance agreement in substantially the same form as presented to the Town Council on October 15, 2008.
