DRAFT SUMMARY OF GREENWAYS COMMISSION ACTION

Subject:                      Chapel Hill 2011-2017 Regional Priority List

Meeting Date:            September 24, 2008

Recommendation:     The Greenways Commission recommended the following priority list for greenway projects to be considered in the town transportation priority list:

                              1. Bolin Creek Greenway (currently #3)

                              2. Bolin Creek Phase IV (formerly Southern Railroad Greenway)

                              3. Morgan Creek Phase II (new)

                              4. Horace Williams Trail (new)

                              5. Bolin Creek/Little Creek Greenway (currently #20)

The Greenways Commission recommended moving #22 Erwin Road down on the priority list.  The Commission also recommended to include the Estes Drive Extension, currently identified in the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program, on the Priority list.
