A RESOLUTION INCREASING THE MANAGER’S AUTHORIZATION LIMIT FOR PROCESSING CHANGE ORDERS FOR THE SOUTHERN COMMUNITY PARK PROJECT (2008-10-27/R-4)
WHEREAS, the Southern Community Park project is nearing completion; and
WHEREAS, the staff has negotiated a change order in the amount of $13,982 that when combined with previously approved change orders would exceed the Manager’s change order authorization limit of $355,000; and
WHEREAS, the Manager has requested an additional $5,000 in authorization to cover any unexpected expenses that might occur during closeout of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council increases the Manager’s authorized limit to execute change orders for the Southern Community Park project from the current limit of $355,000 to $371,393.
