A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER TO EXECUTE A TWO YEAR LEASE EXTENSION AGREEMENT FOR A PORTION OF THE HARGRAVES RECREATION CENTER FOR A CHILD CARE CENTER (2008-10-27/R-5)

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER TO EXECUTE A TWO YEAR LEASE EXTENSION AGREEMENT FOR A PORTION OF THE HARGRAVES RECREATION CENTER FOR A CHILD CARE CENTER (2008-10-27/R-5)

WHEREAS, the current lease with Holmes Child Care, Inc. expires on December 31, 2008; and

WHEREAS, the Town wishes to continue to offer space for the operation of a child care center in the basement of the Hargraves Recreation Center; and

WHEREAS, the Town has published a public notice of the Council’s intent to enter into a lease agreement with Holmes Child Care, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, no other party has requested to lease said premises;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Manager to execute a two year lease extension agreement on behalf of the Town with the Holmes Child Care, Inc. for approximately 3,850 square feet of the Hargraves Recreation Center for the operation of a child care center, said lease containing substantially the same conditions as the existing lease.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council that the monthly lease payment shall be $250 per month.
