WHEREAS, the Town owns certain land on North Columbia Street, identified by Orange County as PIN 9788286867 also known as the North Columbia Street Public Housing Development and;
WHEREAS, said Town land is now used as a public housing development and adequate area is available to provide the necessary vertical and horizontal clearances for the installation and maintenance of pipeline equipment proposed for installation along the eastern right-of-way line of North Columbia Street, and;
WHEREAS, PSNC shall work with the Town to ensure continuous ingress and egress to the Town property and the affected landscaping on the site shall be restored to pre-construction conditions or better;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council herewith authorizes the Town Manager to execute the necessary documents to grant said easement of said Town parcel of land to Public Service of North Carolina (PSNC) Energy, Inc.
