A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF ORANGE COUNTY ARTS COMMISSION ORGANIZATION PROJECT FY2008-09 GRANT FUNDS (2009-01-12/R-6)

WHEREAS, the Orange County Arts Commission has made funds available to organizations to support programming in the arts in Orange County Communities; and

WHEREAS, the Office of Public Arts has been granted funds in the amount of $1,500; and

WHEREAS, the funds would be used to partially fund a special Community Art & History project titled Our Stories, In Focus for the benefit of the citizens of Chapel Hill.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Town Manager to accept the Orange County Arts Commission Organization Project Grant funds and to make all necessary assurances.
