PURPOSE
Tonight’s meeting is a continuation of the January 12, 2009 public hearings for a proposal by RAM Development Company to redevelop the Townhouse Apartment property located at 425 Hillsborough Street. The purpose of this memorandum is to recommend that the Council delay consideration of the Residence at Grove Park Zoning Atlas Amendment and Special Use Permit applications to the Council’s February 24, 2009 business meeting.
DISCUSSION
The Residence at Grove Park Zoning Atlas Amendment and the accompanying Special Use Permit application are scheduled for the Council’s consideration on January 12, 2009. The applicant has requested that these two applications be delayed to next month. The applicant is currently discussing with the seller of the Townhouse Apartments some timing issues associated with the rezoning the property to the Residential-Special Standards-Conditional district. The applicant hopes to resolve this matter prior to the February 24, 2009 meeting.
RECOMMENDATION
We recommend that the Council adopt the attached Resolution to continue the public hearings for the Residences at Grove Park Zoning Atlas Amendment and Special Use Permit Applications to February 24, 2009.
