Tonight, the Council holds a public hearing regarding a request from UNC Hospitals, for a Special Use Permit for the UNC Hospitals Imaging and Outpatient Center. Tonight’s public hearing has been scheduled to receive evidence in support of and in opposition to approval of the Special Use Permit application. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward my preliminary recommendation to the Council.
My preliminary recommendation is that the Council open the Public Hearing and receive comment regarding the UNC Hospitals Imaging and Outpatient Center Special Use Permit application to construct a two-story clinic. Input from the public and the Council at the hearing will inform my recommendation at the follow-up meeting.
We will return to the Council with a specific recommendation for action after the Council has received public comment and evidence this evening and reconvened the hearing.
