Title of Agenda Item: Public hearing on Dog Tethering and Restraint
Background: The attached staff memorandum includes information on the issue of regulating dog tethering, for consideration at a public hearing to be held on February 16, 2009.
Fiscal Note: Enforcement would be handled under the current animal control enforcement arrangements, which are contracted to Orange County Animal Control. It is unclear if the cost of contracted services would be affected.
Staff Recommendation(s): That the Council consider all comments from the public hearing and refer the comments to the Town Manager, who will present a final recommendation.
