WHEREAS, the Town of Chapel Hill received bids by legal notice on September 21, 2006 in accordance with G.S. 143-129 for the purchase and delivery of buses, and
WHEREAS, the Council authorized the award of additional buses over a 5-year period from this same contract on October 9, 2006;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that up to 2 additional buses be approved for purchase from the Gillig Corporation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager is authorized to execute change orders not to exceed $1,070,222 in the current contract with Gillig Corporation for this purpose.
