Title of Agenda Item: Authorization to Enter into Fuel Contract for FY 2009/10
Background: The attached staff memorandum includes background information on fuel prices and the feasibility of entering into a fuel contract for FY 2009/10.
Fiscal Note: The current budget projects a cost of $3.40/per gallon for diesel fuel. Entering into a fuel contract for FY 2009/10 will provide substantial savings for the next budget year.
Staff Recommendation(s): That the Council adopt the resolution authorizing Chapel Hill Transit to enter into a fuel contract for FY 2009/10.
