Title of Agenda Item: Budget Ordinance and Resolution to Accept the e-NC Authority Grant
Background: The Town of Chapel Hill, on behalf of The Peoples Channel, applied for a Public, Education or Government (PEG) Channel Capital Expenditure Grant from the e-NC Authority. The Town has been notified that the grant has been awarded to the Town on behalf of The Peoples Channel in the amount of $24,991. The grant funds will be passed through to fund The Peoples Channel to fund equipment to support their operations. The Peoples Channel will use their Supplemental PEG funds to meet the grant matching requirements.
Fiscal Note: The grant requires matching funds that will be provided by The Peoples Channel. The Town will act as administrator of the grant.
Staff Recommendation(s): That Council adopt the resolution and enact the budget ordinance authorizing acceptance of the e-NC grant.
