Title of Agenda Item: Acceptance of a Grant for the Parks and Recreation Department Football Program
Background: Adoption of the attached resolution would accept a grant of $2,000 from the National Recreation and Park Association and USA Football. The grant would be used for the 2009 youth football program.
Fiscal Note: The $2,000 grant requires no matching funds and would be used by the Parks and Recreation Department for the football program in FY 2008-09.
Staff Recommendation(s): That the Council adopt the attached resolution accepting the $2,000 grant for the football program and enact the attached budget ordinance to amend the Parks and Recreation Department budget by $2,000.
