Title of Agenda Item: Acceptance of a Grant for Renovation Design for the Bolin Creek Trail
Background: The Friends of Chapel Hill Parks, Recreation and Greenways has offered a grant of $15,000, from the bequest of former Town Council member Joe Herzenberg, for initial assessment and design work for renovation and repair of the existing portions of the Bolin Creek Trail.
Fiscal Note: The attached resolution would accept a $15,000 grant from the Friends of Chapel Hill Parks, Recreation, and Greenways. There is no requirement for a Town match.
Staff Recommendation(s): That the Council adopt the attached resolution accepting a $15,000 grant from the Friends of Chapel Hill Parks, Recreation, and Greenways for design work related to renovation of the existing Bolin Creek Trail and enact the attached budget ordinance amendment that would increase the budget of the Capital Projects Ordinance Fund by $15,000 for renovation design of the Bolin Creek Trail.
