A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT 2 TO THE CONTRACT WITH JEWELL ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS, PC FOR THE CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT OF THE  STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM MASTER PLAN (2009-03-23/R-2)

WHEREAS, the Town of Chapel Hill selected Jewell Engineering Consultants, PC to assist the Town in the development of a Chapel Hill Stormwater Management Program Master Plan; and

WHEREAS, Jewell Engineering Consultants, PC has completed the initial master planning work and has begun work on the final elements of the programmatic master planning effort and two pilot watershed studies; and

WHEREAS, Town staff requested Jewell Engineering Consultants, PC to provide the detailed scope of work, budget, and schedule for the completion of the programmatic master planning and two pilot watershed studies; and

WHEREAS, the work performed by Jewell Engineering Consultants, PC continues to be acceptable; and

WHEREAS, funding is available in the stormwater budget for the current fiscal year.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Town Manager to execute Amendment 2 to the contract with Jewell Engineering Consultants, PC in the amount of $315,886.00 for the continued development of the Stormwater Management Master Plan for the Town of Chapel Hill.
