Title of Agenda Item: Mechanic Career Advancement Series and Classification Changes
Background: The attached staff memorandum includes background information on the Mechanic Career Advancement Series and Classification Changes in Public Works and Transit Departments.
Fiscal Note: The career advancement series will result in two advancements in Public Works that will result in an expenditure of $1,236 in this fiscal year. There will be no financial impact in Transit this fiscal year. Funds are available in the Public Works for these advancements.
Staff Recommendation(s): That the Council enact the attached Personnel Ordinance dated October 1, 2008, be hereby amended effective March 23, 2009.
