Title of Agenda Item: Dog tethering
Background: The attached staff memorandum includes information on the issue of regulating dog tethering.
Fiscal Note: Enforcement would be handled under the current animal control enforcement arrangements, which are contracted to Orange County Animal Control. Orange County is unable to provide a detailed financial estimate of what, if any, cost increase may be expected over and above the current year’s agreement.
Staff Recommendation(s): That the Council consider ordinance revisions from staff [2007-03-23/O-7a and 2007-03-23/O-7b] and refer possible action tonight to the Town Manager.
