subject: University of North Carolina Hospitals Imaging and Outpatient Center, 1350 Raleigh Road - Application for Special Use Permit

PURPOSE

Tonight the Council continues the Public Hearing from February 16, 2009 to consider the request submitted by representatives from UNC Hospitals for the UNC Hospitals Imaging Center Special Use Permit application. The site is located at 1350 Raleigh Road, at the intersection of Raleigh Road and Finley Golf Course Road. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward the Town Manager’s recommendations to the Council for the above application.

MAnager’s REVISED recommendation

I have reviewed and discussed the key issues with Town staff. Based on the information in the record to date, I believe that with the conditions in the attached resolution, and with the modification to the regulations as requested by the applicant, that the Council could make the findings required to approve the application for a Special Use Permit. My recommendation is that the Council adopt Revised Resolution A, approving the application for a Special Use Permit.
