Tonight the Town Council continues the March 16, 2009 public hearing [http://townhall.townofchapelhill.org/agendas/2009/03/16] regarding two proposed text amendments to the Land Use Management Ordinance which would make changes to the Residential-Special Standards-Conditional (R-SS-C) zoning district at the request of the Council.
The public hearing has been continued to receive responses to comments made at the March 16, 2009 hearing, as the Council determines the appropriate action on the proposal. This schedule was proposed to accommodate the Council’s request. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward my recommendation to the Council.
RECOMMENDATION
I have reviewed and discussed the key issues with Town staff. I recommend that the Council reconvene the public hearing to receive staff responses to comments made about the proposed Land Use Management Ordinance text amendments at the March 16, 2009 public hearing, and that the Council enact Ordinance B.
Further information concerning the text amendment proposals could be submitted at tonight’s public hearing.
