| Background: The attached memorandum provides information regarding requests from several residents requesting that the Town establish "No Parking Anytime Except by Residential Permit" restrictions from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, on both sides of Branch Street and Justice Street. | |||

| Fiscal Note:
The estimated cost for installation of the signs for the new parking regualtions including staff time is approximately $1200 ($300 for signs and $900 for town staff time for installation) for both Branch and Justice Streets. If the Council enacts the ordinance, funds from the operaing budget of the Traffic Engineering Division would be used. Parking Services issues approximately 1200 residential permits annually for an estimated cost of $10,000 to administer the residential permit program annually. Currently there is no cost to residents for residential parking. Parking Services has indicated that they would be able to include this area without any significant changes in currently established enforcement route assignments. |
