| Title of Agenda Item: Project Ordinance for a Transportation Capital and Planning Grant. (O-2) | |||

| Background: Urbanized Area Formula Program funds are appropriated annually by the Federal Transit Administration and distributed by formula to urbanized areas. These funds are provided to pay for operating, capital and planning needs. | |||
|
|
|||
| Fiscal Note: These funds are used to support capital needs such as maintenance and repair of the Transit system’s bus shelters and to provide lighting repairs at park and ride lots served by Chapel Hill Transit. Funds are also used to offset salaries associated with planning activities performed by Transit staff. | |||
|
|
|||
| Recommendations: The Council will consider an ordinance to enact the attached project budget. | |||
