| Background: The Town has reviewed various strategies to emphasize a safe workplace, reduction of preventable accidents, and reduction of worker’s compensation and accident cost. | |||
|
|
|||
| Fiscal Note: The information from the NCLM indicates that the implementation of these strategies will significantly reduce the Town’s workers compensation costs. | |||
|
|
|||
| Recommendations: The Council will consider an ordinance to repeal Chapter 14, Article VII Sec. 14-64 of the Code of Ordinances providing Workers’ Compensation Leave. | |||
