| Title of Agenda Item: Budget Ordinance Amendments to Correct and Adjust Various Transit Fund Budgets. (O-9a, O-9b) | |||

| Background: The attached staff memorandum includes background information on various Transit Funds to reflect changes, corrections and budget adjustments. | |||
|
|
|||
| Fiscal Note: During FY2008-2009 two operating grants were budgeted in the transit fund to support new transit services. The funds were not received during the period due to delays at the MPO and NCDOT levels and budget amendments are needed to carry these projects forward to FY2009-2010. The grant funds to be received total $267,536. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will allow for $500,000 in additional preventive maintenance funds for FY2009. Another amendment allows for the change in funding for the purchase of buses from 80% federal funding to 100% ($1,700,000). The final amendment will allow for transit to access capital reserve funds for the purchase of lift-equipped vans ($349,949). | |||
