| Background: The Mayor may proclaim events or “Days” that are of interest or benefit to the Town of Chapel Hill. Proclamations are a reflection of civic activity, pride, and accomplishment. The Mayor issues proclamations that have a direct relationship to the Town of Chapel Hill and its services. Occasionally, proclamations honor specific individuals in the community. The Mayor’s Office does not issue proclamations as part of national campaigns, for national organizations, or for issues or groups completely unrelated to the Town. | |||
