| Title of Agenda Item:
Project Ordinance for a 2009-10 Transit Planning Grant (Federal Highway Administration Section 104(f)). (O-6) Council Goal 5: Improve Town's Fiscal Condition. |

| Background: The Town has received Section 104 (f) planning funds. These funds are administered by the City of Durham, the urbanized area’s lead planning agency. They are apportioned to the State through a population-based formula approved by the North Carolina Board of Transportation. | |||
|
|
|||
| Fiscal Note: Section 104(f) planning funds have been allocated to Chapel Hill in the amount of $78,710 and will be used for general program support and technical assistance of the Town’s Transit Planning staff. The Town will be reimbursed for 80 percent of the project expenses by the City of Durham. The Town is required to provide the local match of 20 percent of expenditures for this project. Local matching funds of $15,742 are budgeted for this purpose in the Town’s General Fund. There is no State participation in this project. | |||
