Acceptance of FY 2009-2010 Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Grant Funds. (R-4) (O-2) Council Goal 4: Maintain and Improve Community Facilities and Services |

| Background: The attached staff memorandum includes background information on Project Safe Neighborhoods funds that were awarded to support the Police Department’s violent crime intervention strategies. | |||
|
|
|||
| Fiscal Note: The Town would receive a Grant Award in the amount of $60,869 to support the continued funding of a PSN resource coordinator position. The Town would reapply annually to Department of Justice for funding. There is no match required to accept the funds. | |||
|
|
|||
| Recommendations: That the Council adopt a resolution authorizing the acceptance of the Project Safe Neighborhoods grant funds and that the Council enact a budget ordinance amendment appropriating the PSN grant funds. | |||
