| Background: This report is in response to a petition from a resident concerning pedestrian safety improvements at the intersection of Estes Drive and Caswell Road. We think that upgrading street lighting at the intersection, installing high visibility crosswalks, relocating the pedestrian push button, installing a signal ahead sign and future signal system project improvements at this location could improve pedestrian safety at and in the vicinity of this intersection. | |||

| Fiscal Note: The estimated total cost to the Town (upgrading street lighting at the intersection, relocation of the pedestrian push button, installation of signal ahead sign) is approximately $1,000. NCDOT is responsible for the cost of the high visibility crosswalks. | |||
