| Background:
The Town is required by the State to adopt a riparian buffer protection program that meets the minimum requirements of the Jordan Nutrient Management Strategy Rule (15 NCAC 02B.067, as amended by SL 2009-484). |

|

| Fiscal Note:
The rules will require additional resources to implement and enforce the increased requirements for riparian buffer protection. |

| Recommendations: That the Council and authorize Town staff to submit the draft ordinance to the State for review and approval. | |||
