SUBJECT: Request for Funding from the County of Durham for the Greater Triangle Area Civic Index Community Forum
DATE: September 8, 2003
The Town has received a request from the County of Durham to participate in funding of the Greater Triangle Area Civic Index Community Forum, scheduled for November 6, 2003 (see Attachment 1). The Forum will provide an opportunity for public discussion of the results of the recent State-wide assessment of youth and adult civic education, conducted earlier this year by the North Carolina Civic Education Consortium.
Adoption of the attached budget ordinance would appropriate $500 from the Council Contingency Fund for this purpose.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Budget Ordinance entitled “An Ordinance Concerning Appropriations and the Raising of Revenue for the Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 2003” as duly adopted on June 9, 2003, be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
