SUBJECT:       Concept Plan:  Homestead Community Park Aquatic Center

 

DATE:             June 21, 2004

 

 

Tonight the Council considers a Concept Plan for the Homestead Community Park Aquatic Center, proposed at Homestead Community Park on the west side of Airport Road.

 

This proposal involves constructing an aquatic center totaling approximately 26,000 square feet and minor modifications to the existing parking lot constructed in 1997 between Homestead Road and Airport Road.  In accordance with the Land Use Management Ordinance, there has been no staff review of this Concept Plan.

 

We recommend that the Council review this Concept Plan, receive comments from the Community Design Commission and citizens, and adopt a resolution transmitting comments to the applicant.
