SUBJECT: Quarterly Reports on Panhandling Arrests and Crime in the Northside Neighborhood
Last fiscal year the Council requested quarterly reports on 1) arrests for violation of the newly adopted panhandling ordinances and 2) crime in the Northside neighborhood compared to the Town as a whole. This information was presented as separate information reports each quarter.
Presentation of Data in Fiscal Year 2004-2005
The information from these reports will now be included in the Police Department section of the Town of Chapel Hill Quarterly Report. The information will be presented as part of the larger document and will also be incorporated into the yearly objectives of the Police Department.
We believe this will streamline the presentation of the data and it will be part of an overall view of police services.
